LinkAja CEO Danu Wicaksana steps down to join Good Doctor Technology

LinkAja CEO Danu Wicaksana has stepped down from his role to join health tech company Good Doctor Technology Indonesia as managing director. According to his Linkedin page, Wicaksana left the state-owned mobile wallet startup in December 2019, only 12 months after he was appointed as the firm’s CEO in January last year.

A LinkAja spokesperson confirmed the news and told KrASIA that the company will announce a new CEO soon.

Good Doctor Technology is a joint venture between Southeast Asia’s super app Grab and Ping An Good Doctor. It offers digital health solutions such as online chats with doctors, health-related content, and e-commerce for health and wellness products. The services are available within the Grab platform called GrabHealth powered by Good Doctor. Launched in December 2019, Indonesia was the first country where Grab launched healthcare services on its app.

Wicaksana started his career as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in 2008. After seven years in the management consulting company, he was appointed as managing director of Indonesia’s fashion e-commerce platform Berrybenka. Prior to landing the role at LinkAja, Wicaksana was the CEO of TCash, an e-money platform owned by the country’s largest mobile carrier, Telkomsel. In February 2019, TCash merged with other e-wallet services from state-owned lenders such as Bank Mandiri, BRI, and BNI, and rebranded to LinkAja.

LinkAja was officially launched in June last year and already has 40 million registered users per November 2019. The platform is integrated with multiple mass adoption apps like Gojek, Grab, Bukalapak, and Tokopedia.
