Indian cloud-based business software provider Freshworks recently opened its Singapore office, the company’s first ASEAN regional hub, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board.
The company’s software is currently used by clients in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia within the region, according to its press statement. In December 2018, Freshworks posted a 45% year-on-year increase in business among ASEAN nations.
Freshworks’ key customers include business management consulting firm Synpulse, maritime carrier X-press Feeders, online payment gateway iPay88, and an oil-and-gas firm AMOS Group.
Founded in October 2010, Freshworks offers software for call centres, internal collaboration, cloud-based customer support, and more. Freshworks is already a unicorn, with its staff numbered over 1,900. Its other global offices are in India, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
In 2018, the company announced that it has attained an annual recurring revenue of US$100 million. It went on to secure US$100 million from Accel Partners, Sequoia and CapitalG.
