CHINA BRIEF | Singtel Innov8 invests in Chinese data visualization startup DataHunter

Data visualization software and hardware provider DataHunter has closed its Series B round, bagging an undisclosed amount of money from investors led by Sintel Innov8, the venture capital arm of Singaporean telecommunication carrier Singtel Group, according to DataHunter on Monday.

The Beijing-based firm, which was founded in 2016, announced that the new funds will be used to enhance its products, attract new talent, and to expand to more industries.

DataHunter provides data visualization and analysis products for data management, targetting corporate clients and governmental organs.

The firm counts the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the State Intellectual Property Office of China, and China’s General Administration of Customs among its governmental clients, according to Data Hunter’s website. The company also offers its services to corporate clients such as Chinese smartphone vendors Xiaomi and Oppo, food and beverage company Nestle, and multinational consumer goods firm Unilever.
