Gojek officially unifies brand across four markets

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, Gojek on Monday officially unified its brand across four countries. The service was launched in Vietnam in 2018 and in Thailand a year later under the localized brand names GoViet and GET. With the integration, the same Gojek app can be used in Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Co-CEO Andre Soelistyo said that the brand proves how competitive Gojek is internationally. “The core mission of Gojek in Indonesia is to continually create positive social impacts through community development, to create opportunities by opening new channels of income, empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises. This also a key to success in other countries,” he said in a statement.

Gojek claims to be the leading super app in its home country Indonesia. While it only offers GoCar in Singapore, it provides the motorbike ride-sharing GoRide, last-mile delivery service GoSend, and food delivery GoFood in Vietnam. In Thailand, Gojek offers motorbike ride-sharing, food delivery, and parcel delivery service.

Growth has been significant in Thailand and Vietnam. International group head Andrew Lee said last month that the apps and brands have established themselves as part of the fabric of the communities they operate in. “Uniting all operations under Gojek will help us take what we’ve already achieved to new heights, accelerate our growth across Southeast Asia and ensure we make a lasting impact to benefit all users, partners and stakeholders,” said Lee.
