Start-Up Nation Central (SNC) and HealthIL, a nonprofit organization that works with the Israeli digital health ecosystem, have launched a new hub to provide information on the ways Israel’s tech ecosystem is mobilizing to fight the global coronavirus pandemic.
Dubbed CoronaTech Israel, the site offers information about technological developments from Israel and abroad, open calls by healthcare providers, organizations, and corporations, proposals as well as opportunities for cross-border collaborations, access to international grants, insights and analyses by Israeli experts and entrepreneurs, along with an up-to-date dashboard to locate potential technologies and solutions. It also includes information on online webinars, conferences, and hackathons.
“The concentration of the content in a single website seeks to empower Israel’s tech entrepreneurship community with opportunities for collaborations and joining forces in overcoming the human and economic crisis and leveraging it for growing new ventures,” the organizations said in a joint statement.
The information repository is powered by data from SNC’s Start-Up Nation Finder, which offers information on over 6,500 Israeli technology companies from a range of sectors. SNC launched a comprehensive directory last month with over 80 Israeli high-tech companies that offer technology solutions in the fight against COVID-19.
“The global effort to triumph over the coronavirus has led to a tsunami of information, part of which includes unstructured and inaccurate [information] about the virus and the ways to address its rapid spread,” says Jeremie Kletzkine, VP of business development at SNC. “SNC seeks to provide a comprehensive source of reliable and diverse information for entrepreneurs, investors, developers, tech professionals, healthcare officials, and researchers: anyone who looks for the most up-to-date snapshot of using technology to fight the COVID-19 spread.”
