Indonesia-based Jet Commerce expands into China and Philippines

Indonesia-based e-commerce enabler company Jet Commerce is expanding its business into China and the Philippines.

To enter China, Jet Commerce acquired e-commerce enabler Brand Top, according to a company statement.

With the acquisition, Jet Commerce will combine its expertise in online retail, multi-channel marketing, and fulfilmentand operations with Brand Top’s strength in digital marketing, big data management, and creative design. Brand Top’s CEO Chad Zheng will become CEO of Jet Commerce in China, the statement said.

Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Jet Commerce is set to open an office in Taguig City.

Jet Commerce was established in 2017 as an authorized channel partner to alibaba.com in Indonesia under the brand J&T Commerce before it rebranded into Jet Commerce and added a new e-commerce enabler service.

The move marks the second phase of Jet Commerce’s international expansion. In February 2019, the company expanded its services into Vietnam and Thailand by opening offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, respectively.

The company said that it is currently operating over 100 official online stores on 13 Asia-based e-commerce platforms. Jet Commerce has established strategic partnerships with 56 brands from various categories, including electronic products, health & beauty, and household products.
