Despite calls for Apple to shift production to US the firm’s Chinese supplier list keeps growing

Despite the on-going Sino-US trade war and President Trump’s repeated call for Apple to shift its production from China to the United States, the tech giant added 11 new companies from mainland China and Hong Kong to its core supplier list.

41 Apple core suppliers are from mainland China. The new ones include CN Innovations Holdings, Crealand Technology, J.Pond Industry Dongguan, Jilin Liyuan Precision Manufacturing, Jones Tech PLC, LY Investment(HK) Limited, TK Group, Tongda Group Holdings, Winox Enterprise, and Zhenghe Group.

That Apple continues to build relationships with Chinese suppliers sends a sign of relief to Chinese companies worrying about a potential supply chain decoupling between the United States and China.
